We are looking for cooks that like to be involved with all facets of the kitchen. At Ancora, we are a small team. Our cooks work the line, prep food, help create specials, and work closely with all team members to make sure our fast paced café is operating safely and smoothly. Everyone shares duties, including dishes. Strong communication and respect for all team members and customers is required.
We are a well established, locally owned and operated, Madison café that expanded our operations in 2017 to include a full service kitchen. We specialize in all things brunch and are open 7 days per week. We take great pride in our business and the relationships we have built with our customers and staff over the years. Baker Job Description:
Ancora Cafe and Bakery is seeking an Assistant Baker for the early morning production shift. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in a bakery or similar food service environment, as well as a passion for baking and a strong work ethic. This position requires early morning availability (2 am, 3 am start times) and some weekend availability. This is for a part time position with the intent to transition to full time by the end of July. Driving required: Occasionally helping deliver baked goods to our other Madison-area cafes is a part of this job - a generous gas reimbursement is provided in exchange for using your vehicle.
